This is an exciting opportunity to take responsibility for the content management and on-line marketing activities for a fast growing and profitable commercial vehicle and trailer manufacturing company based in the North West.
As web-content manager you will be responsible for the creation, editing and management of the on-line marketing platforms including several websites covering new, used and rental fleet sales, spare parts including eBay. You will collate, edit and post articles, blog posts and news and be responsible for managing the company’s social media presence.
The company design and manufacture a range of dry goods trailers, rigid body conversions and van conversions supplying major fleet operators and commercial vehicle manufacturers. With rapid business growth the company is now looking for an experienced and capable web content manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – WEB CONTENT MANAGER
Reporting to the IT Director you will be responsible for the ongoing management of the company’s web presence, such as our sales, rentals and spare parts websites. The role will focus on the design and upkeep of the content of our websites including news articles, images, and blog posts.
You will be creating new websites and redesigning existing sites as required, and performing search engine optimization. You will also manage aspects of the company’s Intranet.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the company’s social media presence.
You will set up and maintain an eBay store for selling spare parts for existing fleet users and workshops
You will be liaising with external suppliers including our PR company and industry partners to ensure that the company’s websites are in line with other PR and marketing initiatives
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE – WEB CONTENT MANAGER
You will be highly organised, proactive and self-motivated with a creative approach to on-line communication and design. You will be able to demonstrate your experience and track record ideally in B2B on-line marketing:
• Experience and track record in creating, managing and optimising B2B business web-sites • Excellent graphic design skills using appropriate software e.g. Photoshop, DTP • Experience managing SEO and social media extensions of the on-line marketing programme • Creative and accurate copy writing skills • Experience of and ability to work to tight deadlines • Excellent interpersonal skills at all levels with internal and external parties • Fundamental understanding of web programming e.g. HTML, CSS • Knowledge of using eBay or something similar for selling items over the Internet.
