This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing engineering and manufacturing company based in the North West. The company design and manufacture a range of dry goods trailers, rigid body conversions and van conversions supplying major fleet operators and commercial vehicle manufacturers. As the company is developing, the bespoke application programming requirements are increasing and the company is now looking for a full time programmer to join the IT team.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES - PROGRAMMER
Reporting to the IT Director, you will be assisting the programming team in designing, writing and supporting both new and existing bespoke applications. You will help users to get the information they need, for example by creating reports, and modifying data. You will help with the initial design of our applications by talking to the various stakeholders and ensure that the projects are delivered on time and to specification.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - PROGRAMMER
ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You will have good communication skills and be able to assist with supporting users for these applications. You will have good knowledge of developments in IT and how the company can utilise these to develop better software. You will have knowledge of the hardware side so can assist with support where this is necessary. Experience of other programming languages and systems (e.g. Java, Android, PHP, Arduino, Solidworks EPDM) and related fields such as electronics may be helpful. Salary is circa £20000 per annum.
